The free CRM for roofing crews going out on their own. Contacts, jobs, estimates, invoices, scheduling, and photos — all from the phone in your pocket. If this is your first CRM, it was built for you.
Most contractor software is built for a 40-person shop with an office manager. This one is built for a crew chief with a truck, a phone, and no time for a training course.
Every homeowner, adjuster, and supplier in one place — with the job history attached, so you're never digging through text threads to remember what you told someone.
An eight-stage board built around how roofing work actually moves — from first contact to job complete. Drag a job forward when it moves. That's the whole system.
Build an estimate with line items, then print or send a clean PDF with your company on it. No more handwritten numbers on the back of an invoice.
Turn an approved estimate into an invoice in one tap, then record payments against it. You always know what's outstanding and who owes you.
A calendar for installs, inspections, and call-backs, so two crews don't show up at the same address and nobody forgets the Tuesday punch list.
Shoot photos straight from the job and attach them to the job record. They're compressed automatically so a hundred roof shots don't eat your data plan.
Invite your team with a single-use code. Every seat is free — add your foreman, your salesperson, your spouse who does the books. We don't charge per head.
Your company sees your company's records and nothing else. No other contractor can see your customers, your pricing, or your jobs.
Not a trial, not a freemium tease with the useful parts locked. The CRM is free and stays free. If we ever add extras that cost us real money to run — sending texts, e-signatures — those will be priced separately and clearly, and you can ignore them entirely.
There's no app store download. Otter CRM installs straight from your browser and then behaves exactly like any other app — its own icon, full screen, no address bar.
Reading this on a computer? Text yourself the link and do it from your phone — that's where you'll use it.
If you'd rather have Otter CRM open every time you open your browser, set it as your home page. Here's how, on the browsers contractors actually use.
Tap the three-dot menu → Settings → Homepage. Switch it On, choose Enter custom web address, and type otter-crm.netlify.app. The home button in Chrome now opens Otter CRM.
Safari on iPhone doesn't have a home page setting — Apple doesn't offer one. The home screen icon from the steps above is the equivalent, and it's actually better: it opens full screen with no browser bar in the way.
Click the three-dot menu → Settings → Appearance, turn on Show home button, and enter otter-crm.netlify.app. To have it open automatically when Chrome starts, go to Settings → On startup → Open a specific page and add the same address.
Click the three-dot menu → Settings → Start, home, and new tabs. Under the home button section, choose Enter URL and type otter-crm.netlify.app.
Open Otter CRM in a tab, then go to Safari → Settings → General and click Set to Current Page next to Homepage. Set "New windows open with" to Homepage.
Sign up, add your company, and put your first job on the board before your coffee gets cold.
