There's no app store download. Otter CRM installs straight from your browser and then behaves exactly like any other app — its own icon, full screen, no address bar.

iPhone & iPad

Use Safari
  1. Open Safari and go to otter-crm.netlify.app. (This step needs Safari — other iPhone browsers hide the option.)
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen — the square with an arrow pointing up.
  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top right corner.
  5. The Otter CRM icon is now on your home screen. Open it from there from now on.
If you don't see "Add to Home Screen," scroll further down the share menu — on some iPhones it sits below the row of apps, under "Edit Actions."

Android

Use Chrome
  1. Open Chrome and go to otter-crm.netlify.app.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Install app — or Add to Home screen if that's what your phone calls it.
  4. Tap Install to confirm.
  5. The Otter CRM icon lands on your home screen and in your app drawer.
On a Samsung phone using Samsung Internet: tap the three lines at the bottom right, then Add page to → Home screen.

Make it the first thing you see

If you'd rather have Otter CRM open every time you open your browser, set it as your home page. Here's how, on the browsers contractors actually use.

Chrome on Android

Tap the three-dot menu → Settings → Homepage. Switch it On, choose Enter custom web address, and type otter-crm.netlify.app. The home button in Chrome now opens Otter CRM.

iPhone & iPad

Safari on iPhone doesn't have a home page setting — Apple doesn't offer one. The home screen icon from the steps above is the equivalent, and it's actually better: it opens full screen with no browser bar in the way.

Chrome on a computer

Click the three-dot menu → Settings → Appearance, turn on Show home button, and enter otter-crm.netlify.app. To have it open automatically when Chrome starts, go to Settings → On startup → Open a specific page and add the same address.

Microsoft Edge

Click the three-dot menu → Settings → Start, home, and new tabs. Under the home button section, choose Enter URL and type otter-crm.netlify.app.

Safari on a Mac

Open Otter CRM in a tab, then go to Safari → Settings → General and click Set to Current Page next to Homepage. Set "New windows open with" to Homepage.

It's actually free, and there's no seat limit. Here's our honest reasoning: Otter Quotes makes money when contractors do good work on projects that come through our platform. A contractor who's organized is a better partner than one running the business out of a truck console. Giving you the software costs us very little and makes that far more likely. You are not required to take a single project from us to use it.
No. Otter CRM is a standalone account — sign up and start using it today whether or not you ever bid on an Otter Quotes project. If you do want homeowner projects sent to you, that's a separate free application at Apply to Join.

Otter CRM installs directly from your browser — you get the same icon, the same full-screen experience, and updates arrive automatically without you having to download anything. Skipping the app stores also means we skip their fees and review delays, which is part of how this stays free.
Yes, and it costs nothing. From inside the app you generate a single-use invite code and send it to whoever needs access — foreman, salesperson, office help. Everyone sees the same jobs, estimates, and schedule. There is no per-user charge and no upgrade tier that unlocks more seats.
Only the people you invite to your company. Otter CRM keeps each company's records walled off from every other company on the system — other contractors cannot see your contacts, your estimates, your photos, or your job history. We built and tested that isolation before we let anyone in.
